Lost or Forgotten Password
The following steps will outline how you can reset
your forgotten password. If you have problems following these steps, feel free
to contact the OIT Help Desk at 719-255-4357.
Step 1:
Browse to the Account Recovery Page
Navigate to https://accounts.uccs.edu then
click on Recover your account

Step 2: Fill out the Form
- Type in your full Email Address in
the area marked UserID:
- Type in the characters in the photo.
- Press Next

Step 3: Choose a
Contact Method
Choose a recovery contact method (email, text, or phone call) and provide
the requested information.
Option 1:
Select Email my alternate email
- Once this option is selected, press the button
labeled Email.

Type in the code that you recieved in your alternate email account.
Press Next.

- Move on to Lost

Option 2:
Select Text my mobile phone
- Once this option is selected, press the button
labeled Text.

Type in the code that you recieved in your alternate email account.
Press Next.

Option 3:
Select Call my mobile phone
- Once this option is selected,
type in your recovery phone number. Press the button labeled Call.

You will receive a phone call from Microsoft. Press the #key on
your phone to authorize the password change.

- Return to the website.
- Move on to Lost
or Forgotten Password#Step 4
Step 4: Create a New Password
Create a new password which meets the following requirements. Press Next
Password requirements and
recommendations:
- At least 12 characters in length
- Use a passphrase that is easy to remember, for example:
thankyouforattendingUCCS!
- You are not required to use special characters or mix
upper and low case letters
- Cannot contain your first name, last name, UCCS username,
or recently used password
- If you use special characters, please avoid * @ # % &
= : ; ' ? / \ and space

Step 5: Password
has been Reset
